Grape Ed 101 is one hour of "hands on" Vineyard
Education. You will learn how to create and maintain a vineyard or
olive orchard by Viticulturalist, Larry Smyth. You will enjoy riding
through the vineyards in a larger ATV and strolling through the fields
for a session studying the trellis and irrigation systems, variety
selection and rootstocks.

A Kind Testimonial for the Grape Ed 101
Dear Larry,
I hope this email finds you and everyone at Carriage Vineyards well.
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to email you. I wanted to let you
know how much I enjoyed spending the morning with you during Grape
Ed 101. Your knowledge and your love of the land was so evident during
the tour of the vineyards. Even though I spent almost 25 years in
the wine and spirits business, my wine knowledge had been confined
to the areas of harvesting, the winemaking process, and the finished
product. I never knew all of the work and expense that goes into
bringing the grapes to harvest. It is clear that you have a passion
for viticulture and that you really care about what happens BEFORE
the harvest. Grape Ed 101 was the perfect ending to our stay at Carriage
Vineyards.
With Warmest Regards,
Anthony DiRocco
